Lois Mailou Jones was an artist and art educator known for her costumes, textile designs, watercolors, paintings and collages from Wahsinton, D.C. Egyptian Heritage presents a geneological and cultural heritage between contemporary Blacks and Ancient Egypt. Jones uses Ancient Egyptian scenes and hieroglyphics in the background.
